Cop loses
motorcycle to thieves

Being a cop is not a guarantee against theft.

This was learned by a policeman from the Bacong town, Oriental Negros when a thief, or thieves, stole his red Kawasaki Aura motorcycle parked at C. Espina Street, Barangay Taclobo, Dumaguete City, early Wednesday morning.

SP02 Felix Alcorin Tan, Jr., of legal age, a married resident living in Brgy. Daro but assigned in Bacong, said he parked his motorcycle near a house on the street after 3 a.m. Wednesday and walked back home to get something.

When he returned minutes later his motorcycle had disappeared.

Tan said he believes it was stolen by illegal drug users who engage in snatchings and hold-ups in Dumaguete City. He said the thieves may have a master key because he had locked his motorcycle when he parked it.*RG
