'Jollibee expansion connotes
positive business atmosphere'

A new Jollibee store at Lacson Street in Bacolod City opens today following its blessing yesterday by Msgr. Victorino Rivas.

The Lacson branch, owned by Jollibee Foods Corp., joins the eight franchise outlets in the city operated by local investors.

Manuel Yap II, Jollibee Regional Business Unit operations manager, said the Lacson Branch will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Last year, the company opened a store in Kabankalan and will open two more - in Cadiz on Jan. 28, and in La Carlota on Feb. 10, Yap said.

He said that they will also open more stores outside Bacolod as part of their strategic move, and are considering Victorias as the next site.

Yap said Jollibee's continuing expansion in an area like Bacolod connotes that there is good atmosphere for business in the city.

He said they believe there is strong economic activity and good peace and order situation in the city, he said, and this will bring in investments and capital from other investors.

The blessing of Jollibee Lacson was attended yesterday by Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Jollibee operations manager Winston Sia, and Jollibee area manager Edward Felicen So.*CGS
