Solon wants NOHS alumni
on management committee

Bacolod Rep. Monico Puentevella yesterday stressed that the Negros Occidental High School alumni must be represented in the proposed management board for the Paglaum Sports Complex.

In his proposal to the Department of Education, Puentevella said he asked that a representative of the alumni, along with the NOHS principal representing the DepEd, a representative of the office of the congressman, office of the mayor, and the NOCSF sit on the management board.

The DepEd is studying the creation of a management board to prevent the sports complex from deteriorating again following its renovation last year for the Southeast Asian Games. Puentevella said about P30 million was spent for the renovation of the Paglaum Sports Complex late last year.*
