Stolen Pizza Hut vault
found in canefield: PNP

The steel vault of the Pizza Hut food chain at the Robinson's Place Bacolod reported stolen by still unidentified persons at dawn Monday was found in a sugarcane plantation Hacienda Catumbal in Brgy. San Jose, E.B. Magalona town in Negros Occidental at about 11 a.m. of the same day.

Senior Insp. Santiago Rapiz, E.B. Magalona PNP chief, yesterday said the vault was found by Denmark Februe, 11, and Wilson Beron, 12, of Brgy. San Jose while they were setting up bird traps in the canefield.

Rapiz said barangay kagawad Bernardo Prado of Brgy. San Jose accompanied the minors to the E.B. Magalona police to endorse the vault.

The suspects had forced open the vault and took its content of about P300,000, but left the 52 Pizza Hut palm cards and 46 Pizza discount cards, police reports said. He said he and his men are coordinating with the Bacolod PNP on the case.

Unidentified person, or persons had ransacked the Pizza Hut food chain at the ground floor of the Robinson's Place Bacolod and took its vault, the police said.*DMG
