15-day-old baby needs help

The parents of a 15-day-old baby are appealing to kind DAILY STAR readers to help them defray the medical expenses for their child who was diagnosed with a congenital disease and is still confined at the nursery of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.

Omega Sinlyn Alipat, mother of 15-day-old John Jedrick, said yesterday that she and her husband, Juan Antonio, could not afford the amount needed for the further medical evaluation of the child.

Dr. Lily Alamon, resident-in-charge of the CLMMRH nursery, said John Jedrick was delivered Dec. 13 through Ceasarian section.

The baby was incubated and was tried to attach to a ventilator. She said the child is still confined in the nursery for close monitoring and continuance of medications.

Any help for the baby may be coursed through the DAILY STAR office.*
