Debutante Denise

Leave it to top Cebu and Negrense royale-Georgia de la Rama Osmeña to come up with the most glamorous and colorful debut for her lovely daughter Denise Patricia Jalandoni. Together with dad Luis de Leon Jalandoni, the newest royalette was presented to society with a grand bash at the Casino Español in Queen City, Cebu!

Since Punta Bulata Resort and Spa's Miren Zayco, son Ronald and I had to take the land trip via San Carlos ferry to Toledo, we were quite late after dressing up in our suites at Cebu Waterfront-Lahug Hotel and Casino. There's only one flight a day to Cebu nowadays and by the time we made up our minds, it was fully booked.

But the lovely, scenic ride to Cebu more than made up for the lost hours… Everyone should try it sometime! The dancers were doing a ballroom medley already when we entered the new Casino Español filled to the rafters with VIPs and Georgia's ballroom groupie.

The program started with Georgia's message followed by the grand entrance of the debutante with father Louie J. Then, Denise danced with her dad to the tune of the Viennesse Waltz.

A sexy Arabian dance of the 18 candles made Denise blow all on THREE towering cakes embedded with jewels. After her Dad's toast, dinner was served while 18 Treasures were bestowed on the lucky b'day gal. Denise gave a meaningful response that was topped by the standard dance medley.

A sizzling tango Argentina was done by Riza Almendras and partner Sol Eugenio. Debutante Denise then danced a High Society mambo with her 18 male roses. Only a blue-blooded Osmeña could do THAT with flair and class, honeys! Of course, mommy Georgia showed where the genes came from when she danced a classy waltz and foxtrot ballroom number right after.

Family and relatives did the Viennesse Waltz again to open the dance party where everyone danced, partied and danced till the wee hours of dawn. Whew! My feet are still aching from that fabi debut!! Must I say that it was a smashing success? YES, dahlinks, and that's how parties should always be!!!*
