Minors nabbed
for vagrancy

Four minors were charged with violating the city's curfew for minors ordinance and sniffing rugby when Barangay 3 tanods arrested them at almost midnight at Pinili Street in Dumaguete City.

Under the ordinance, minors are prohibited from roaming the city streets from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day.

Two of the minors, aged 14 and 15, were residents of Brgy. Bagacay, Calindagan in Dumaguete City, and Brgy. San Miguel in Bacong town, respectively.

SPO1 Bernard Birao, police investigator, said tanods Santiago Balonio, Arman Distrito, Sabellano Alejandro, Crisostomo Fausto, and Ireno Malangsa were patrolling the streets when they chanced on the four minors sniffing rugby during curfew hours.

They confiscated an undetermined number of bottles containing rugby from the youngsters.*RG
