P1.7M needed for WV
campaign in nat'l Prisaa

About P1.7 million will be needed to fund the campaign of the Western Visayas contingent in the National Private Schools and Athletics Association Games in Dagupan, Western Visayas PRISAA athletic manager Roger Banzuela said yesterday.

The bulk of the budget will cover the transportation expenses estimated at P976,500, while the remaining allocation will be used for the food, accommodation and uniform of the Region VI athletes and officials, Banzuela, who also serves as chairman of the Western Visayas PRISAA technical committee, said.

50 join swimming seminar

Fifty Sagay City residents are expected to attend the swimming seminar of the Negros Occidental Provincial Sports and Development Office in Sagay City this month.

The seminar is the first project of the PSDO for 2006, but it will not be considered as part of the provincial mass-based sports program since the Sagay City local government will shoulder the expenses of the event, Manuel De Oro, officer-in-charge of the PSDO, said.

The PSDO will consider the seminar as an aspect of its regular office function because it will only provide its technical expertise and choose the resource speaker for the project, he added.
