All TransCo O&M units
receive ISO certifications

The National Transmission Corp. has completed the ISO certifications for all its operation and maintenance units, TransCo said in a press release.

The latest to receive the ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management is the South Luzon Operations and Maintenance Group.

The certification was awarded by Renato Navarrete, managing director of the Certification International Philippines, to the SLOM Group headed by TransCo AVP Armando Buencamino during simple rites held at Lucena City recently, the press release said.

Officials who witnessed the awarding rites were TransCo president Alan Ortiz and VPs Alexander Cortez and Guillermo Redoblado.

Visayas Group received its ISO award on December 2004;

North Luzon Group, April 2005; and Mindanao Group, August 2005.

Ortiz said in the press release that the ISO awards show TransCo is worthy to be called the "company of the future."

With this certification, the whole TransCo O&M is now ISO 9001:2000 certified which means that our customers are assured of our commitment to the highest standards of operations, he said.*
