39 nabbed
for vagrancy

Thirty-nine persons, 13 of them minors, were apprehended by Police Precinct 1 operatives in different areas in Bacolod City Saturday midnight up to 2:20 a.m. yesterday, for violation of City Ordinance 202, or Vagrancy.

The 15 minors, aging from 13 to 17, were caught while roaming around the Bacolod public plaza without any reasons Saturday midnight by Insp. Sergio Pormento, deputy commander of Police Precinct 1 and his men, police reports said.

Meanwhile, Alfredo dela Pena, Tommy Delfin, Joven Guerrero, Rey Eula and Mark Urso were also nabbed for the same violation at about 1:30 a.m. yesterday, police reports said.

Also arrested were Eduardo Tan, Junjun Buyco, Noel Dela Cruz, Hernan Arigato, Junie Batusin, Anthony Buenafe, Romel Bolundil, a certain Jorge and Harland Perez, the reports added.

At about 2:20 a.m. yesterday, 10 persons were also apprehended for the same violations, they were Maria Mae Cordova, a certain Jocelyn, Vic-Vic Buenavista, Joan Cordova, Garce Do-onay, Marlon Rio, Jun Genovia, Jospeh Lan Gallen, Jonathan Janari and Arlowe Gonzaga, police reports also said.

The 39 were caught in several areas at the Bacolod public plaza, Luzuriaga-San Juan streets, Rizal-Locsin streets, Cuadra Street and Gonzaga-Locsin streets. They were all detained in the lock-up cell of Police Precinct pending the filing of charges against them, police reports added.*DMG
