Training on
muscovado production set

The Sugar Regulatory Administration, through its Outreach Program for the Sugar Industry, will hold a seminar on "Muscovado Sugar Production" at Balay OPSI in La Granja, La Carlota City on Jan. 11 to 13, a press release from SRA said.

The program will be a combination of lecture, discussion and practical demonstration aimed to enrich knowledge and skills in sugarcane growing.

Updated technologies will be introduced to widen participants' knowledge in producing quality muscovado, the press release said.

Lecturers will discuss cultural management practices, muscovado sugar processing, marketing, financing and constraints in muscovado sugar production.

The P2,800 training fee is inclusive of meals, snacks, accommodation, seminar materials and manual on sugar production, the press release said.
