Happy holidays

I had the time of my life these Christmas holidays going to Tagaytay for the fabi wedding of Congressman Miguel Zubiri to Audrey Tan, then five hectic days in Makati doing the social scene for National Palangga, Maurice Arcache's birthday. But what was most enjoyable was the bonding done with cousins living in the metropolis in the spirit of Christmas.

Our small Lacson clan got together in the Urdaneta residence of la Infanta Cristina "Bibing" Villanueva and Princess of Negros Elenita "Inday" Corral. Everybody came in Christmas attires, meaning, anything from Christmas colors to buntings made from Christmas décor. For added touches, there were reindeer horn headbands and Santa hats complete with blinking lights. La Infanta royal Elena shipped all her giant Christmas figures to Manila, making the front yard a landmark in this year's Christmas décor in plushy Urdaneta Village in Makati.

Of course, my social calendar for the holidays ALWAYS starts with the birthday of Raymond Fuentes, which falls on Our Lady's Immaculate Conception. This year was a fun-filled celebration with closest friends and family for dinner and the lighting up of the family's Christmas tree. Raymond gives an exclusive start to the season's gift giving by donating his birthday presents to his favorite charity, the Bacolod Boy's Home. It sure does touch one's heart, doesn't it? Perhaps, we can all start the New Year by sharing our blessings, too!

MY PRAYER

O Lord, help me break out of the box and put to good use all that You have inspired men to create!*
