Tinto Bascon and Judy Ochavo were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony, January 3, 2006 at the Queen of Peace Church in Bacolod City. The wedding was solemnized by Fr. Narciso de la Cruz, Fr. Jude Serfino and Fr. Martin Brodit.

Tinto is the son of Oscar and Mayor Carminia Bascon, while Judy is the daughter of Felixberto (+) and Violeta Ochavo.

The principal sponsors were Sen. Mar Roxas, Gov. Joseph Maraņon, Rep. Jose Zubiri, Rep. Ignacio Arroyo, Rep. Monico Puentevella, Antonio Gatuslao, Mayor Carlo Gamban, Jose Mari Chan, Ricardo Yanson, Hever Bascon, Roberto Gatuslao, Jose Gatuslao, Jimmel Lopez;

The bridesmaids were Dr. Nathalie Tiples, Dr. Liza Montecastro, Dr. Zeny Claver, Dr. Marie Charyll Jamolo, Dr. Ma. Lourdes Sabido and Dr. Ma. Rosa Lynn Ingalla.

The secondary sponsors were, for candle - Rolly Brasileņo and Eden Brasileņo; veil - Dennis Gatuslao and Arlene Gatuslao; and cord - Leonard Gonzaga and Ma. Alice Gonzaga.

The ring bearer was John Thomas Gonzaga, coin bearer - Miguel Yulo and bible bearer - Agustin Hernan Gatuslao.

The flower girls were Nicole Carmina Gonzaga, Martina Yulo, Francine Infante and Regina Louise Sarrosa.

Comic arts exhibit
opens tomorrow

A contemporary comic arts exhibit by two Negrense artists called "Ang mga KOMIKS: Drowing ni Nonoy Alob at ni Edbon Sevillano" will open at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, and run until Jan. 17, at the Museo Negrense De La Salle of the University of St. La Salle, in Bacolod City.

About 60 works will be featured in the event being held in cooperation with the Guhit Pinoy Saudi Arabia. It will also have mini-lectures upon request, a press release from the artists said yesterday.

The artists are Edbon Sevilleno, Associate Creative Director of AP7 Riyadh affiliated with McCann-Erickson Worldwide, and Natalio "Nonoy" Alob Jr., painter, sculptor and illustrator.

The exhibit is composed of a compilation of published Darnoon books, works under Guhit Pinoy on Philippine Comic Heroes, and selected Fantasy Art pieces.

Both artists presently work with the royal Princess Maha Faisal in the production of a 10-book series on The Adventures of Saif Bin Dha Yazeen, an ancient Arabian folk hero during the pre-Islamic era, the press release said.

Sevilleno, 42, and Alob, 36, are products of the La Consolacion College of Fine Arts in Bacolod City, it added.*
