Human skeleton
found in canefield

The skeleton of a still unidentified person was found in the middle of the sugarcane field in Purok Rabadilla, Brgy. Mandalagan in Bacolod City at about 2:30 p.m. yesterday.

Barangay resident Sammy Lorenzo said he found the skeleton when he was about to answer a call of nature in the canefield, SuperRadyo-Bacolod reported.

Lorenzo sought help from a security guard who, in turn, sought police assistance.

The Bacolod police theorized that the skeleton was that of a woman because they recovered a green T-shirt, blue sweatshirt, a red skirt and a pair of step-in slippers in the area. The police also noted that it had a shoulder length hair. Her legs were spread apart, Super-Radyo reported.

Police Precinct 3 operatives of the Bacolod City police office endorsed the case to the Bacolod Scene of the Crime Operation for further investigation. The skeleton will be examined at the Crime Laboratory today, reports said.*DMG
