The "Task Force Lawin" formed recently by Senior Supt. Pedro Merced
is now headed by Supt. Leo Irwin Agpangan.
Agpangan, former intelligence chief of the Negros Occidental police,
replaced Supt. Roderick Alba who has sought transfer to NOPPO.
Chief Inspector Joseph Martir and Calixto Mabugat have also
signified their intention to join Alba at the Negros Occidental
police.
Supt. Danilo Peņa, former Kabankalan police chief, who transferred
from the Negros Occidental police, is now assigned at the Police
Regional Office 6 in Iloilo City.
Supt. Pedrito Escarilla, who used to be assigned at PRO 6,
is now assigned at the BCPO office, and was designated by Merced
as his intelligence chief.
Senior Supt. Charles Calima, provincial police director, also
designated Chief Inspector Jomil John Trio as deputy police chief
of Victorias City, effective Feb. 23.
Aside from being the Task Force Lawin chief, Merced was also
named Agpangan as the BCPO deputy chief for Operations.
Due for schooling next month are Senior Inspector Edel Jose Manzano
- BCPO police precinct 7 commander, Inspector Augustus Buenaventura
- BCPO police precinct 9 chief, Inspector Sara Jean Recla - chief
of the BCPO Women and Children Concerned Desk, Senior Inspector
Alexander Ermeo and Inspector Luisito Acebuche who is being groomed
as the commander of BCPO (SWAT) Special Weapons and Tactics Team.*GPB
