Guns, drugs recovered
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Four more unlicensed guns and prohibited drugs were recovered by the police in separate operations in the towns of Valladolid, Hinigaran and Escalante City, Negros Occidental.

Two homemade shotguns and a. 357 magnum revolver, were accounted for by the police in Valladolid, while a .22 caliber revolver was recovered from Ronnie Balot by PO1 Cristopher Tan in Brgy. Langob, Escalante City. Senior Inspector Rico Santotome yesterday said the .357 magnum revolver with six ammunition was taken from Raymond Florete, who resisted arrest, in Brgy. Mabini, Valladolid.

The two shotguns were surrendered by Dave Gorra, a former employee of the Department of Land Reform, bringing to 33 the number of guns recovered by the Valladolid police from Jan. 3 to Feb. 26, Santotome said.

An alleged member of the Kalye Bato Gang, identified as Rolly Lumapan, was also arrested during a buy-bust operation yesterday at Rizal Street, Valladolid.

Seized from Lumapan was a small sachet of suspected shabu and P200 in marked money. Santotome said the clients of Lumapan who was arrested in front of the Valladolid cockpit, were cockfight aficionados and out-of-school youth.

Two grams of suspected dried marijuana were also recovered by SPO2 Bernardino Baguios from Lemuel Macion in Brgy. 1 Hinigaran on Feb. 22.*GPB
