A 27-year-old man attempted to commit suicide by stabbing himself several times in Purok KBS, Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod City at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday.

Rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital was Eladio Regolia Tugado, single, of Brgy. Sum-ag. He had four stab wounds in his body, police reports said.

Initial reports said Tugado's sister Ma. Lina Naral told the police she tried to stop her brother from hurting himself with a bladed weapon when she saw him in his room. She later asked members of their family to help bring him to the hospital.

The Police Precinct 9 personnel is still investigating the case further as the motive of the suicide attempt has not been established. Tugado is still confined at the CLMMRH, police reports said.*DMG
