SP to hold special session
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod will hold a special session Wednesday to take up ordinances that were not discussed during its regular session Thursday, because of the courtesy call on the SP of several government officials of Nueva Ecija.

Bacolod Councilor Dindo Ramos, chairman of the Committee on Transportation, yesterday said that among the items to be taken up during the special session is a proposed ordinance establishing routes for the operation of trisikads in Brgy. 17, which is subject for ratification by the SP.

He said the SP will also take up a proposed amendment to Section 7 of City Ordinance No. 185, Series of 1997, as amended, by an ordinance regulating the operation of tricycles within the territorial jurisdiction of Bacolod City.

Also to be discussed is the proposed ordinance granting certain relief to market vendors on surcharges, interests, penalties and arrearages on their rental obligations to the city. The proposed ordinance also provides the granting of incentives to faithful payors of their dues.*CGS
