SR tops bowling tournament

SR Bowlers - Bacolod brought home the title in the two-day 2006 Bago City Bowlers Association-organized 40th Charter Anniversary Trio Invitational Bowling Tournament at the Gonzaga Plaza Arcade Bowling Alley in Bago City.

Headed by Steven Be, the twice-to-beat SR downed Barangay I Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers, Inc. in the deciding match, 362-360, to win the championship.

ASSFBI shut down Be's group in the first game, 355-330, but the later buckled down to work in the endgame with a heartbreaking victory.

Playing for the champion squad were Ben Pison, Joe Latoza, and Onyot Gane, while Allan Baer, Dan Dadivas, Boy Villanueva, and Sammy Gaitan for ASSFBI.

Bago City Bowlers Association composed of Tito Dato-on, Mat Gaudite, Cano Gaudite and Oscar Villanueva placed second runner-up, as the Edgar Allan del Rosario's mentored ASSFBI Silverado represented by Pete Aplaon, Norman Pineda, Rolly Dechilla, Nonoy Gatila, and Cecille Silverio, settled for third. *HLG
