3-month-old baby
needs VP shunt

The parents of 3-month-old Andralie Vallejo from Hda. Dalayapan, Brgy. Caduha-an, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental are seeking the help of kindhearted DAILY STAR readers for the VP shunt needed by their baby who has been diagnosed to have multiple congenital defects at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City.

Jufel Vallejo, the father of Andralie, yesterday said that their child needs a CT scan but they can't afford it since he and wife, Rhea, are both unemployed.

He said that the baby needs medicines that include three vials of 500-mg oxacillin.

Medical records disclose that Andralie has been confined at the CLMMRH from Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 for multiple congenital defects including hydrocephalus, and neonatal asphyxia.

The VP shunt for the baby will cost P11,000, it added. Any help for the baby may be coursed through the DAILY STAR office.*GCT
