A beautiful couple

Bacolod hasn't seen a more beautiful couple for the longest time. And when they finally wed, it was a dream come true-for almost everybody else. Lovers since I first saw them in the late 80's, they had eyes only for each other (I don't blame them…) except for a cooling off period that is requisite to a maturing relationship. They are achievers, civic leaders and assets to their community. At long last, in ceremonies held at the Queen of Peace church, Talisay Vice Mayor Neil Lizares took for his bride gorgeous Rowena Lopez, the only young lady chosen by Philippine Tattler to be included in the list of Negrense top personalities in their special issue on people you should know in Bacolod.

Wearing an elegant Patrice Ramos Diaz dream wedding gown and a choker-full of diamonds, Rowena was a modern bride, sure of herself as she glided down the aisle. A tasteful and select list of principal sponsors included Anna Dabao, Charrie Benedicto, Suzette Bantug, Ina Davis, Annie Mandriak, Tess Golez, Mila Ereñeta-Laurel, Lydia Gaston, Jose Mari Lopez, Citoy Lopez, Serge Osmeña, Amelo Lizares, Francis Jimenez, Raul Gamban, Rosendo Lopez and Arturo Ledesma. Her beaming parents, Macoy and Dolly Lopez exchanged knowing nods to Neil's mom and dad, Nilo Boy and Nanette Lizares-the two, quite overwhelmed that their first child was getting married.
