Marjesse barges
into win column
BY CRHISTIAN IRL TAN

Marjesse Enterprises barged into the win column after trouncing MJ Enterprises, 76-61, in the Your Basketball Athletic Club tournament at the Manville Royale Gym in Bacolod City recently.

Al Rosal canned 13 of his 20 points in the second quarter to spearhead the offensive charge of Marjesse, which nailed its first victory in three games and dealt MJ its initial setback in three outings.

Meanwhile, Ox Builders registered its second consecutive triumph after losing its opening game by edging Crismar Enterprises, 64-62.

Crismar, which trailed 18-30 at halftime, rallied in the third quarter behind Narcing Galang's 6 points to cut the deficit to 40-44 entering the fourth period.

But it failed to continue its come-from-behind bid in the payoff quarter as Rene Villacanas posted 8 of his 11 markers in the period for the Builders to seal the win. Nelson Siaco topscored for Ox Builders with 18 points, while Fred Garcia and Caloy Centeno added 10 points each.

Roger Jaype poured in 24 points to power Crismar's offense as Gino Amantillo chipped in 11 markers. Bay Lonsaga and Galang contributed 10 points apiece for Crismar that dropped to 1-2.

Backstopping Marjesse's Rosal in the second game were Sam Cordova and Joenel Anico who shot 12 points each, while Tony Valente posted 10 markers.

Pacing MJ was Joemarie Panisales who picked up 11 points as the tandem of Tingting Dua and Boyet Ello scored 10 markers apiece. Nick Bayon added 8 points. *CIT
