The Faraon Institute will celebrate its 62nd Foundation
Day starting today until February 25 in Fabrica, Sagay City, Negros
Occidental.
The festivities will kick off with a Thanksgiving
Mass, parade and mass ground demonstration. Cultural shows and the
coronation of the Miss Faraon Institute will be featured at 7:30
p.m. tomorrow.
Makiling Ascalon, school directress, is inviting
all alumni to a Grand Alumni Homecoming on Saturday to be hosted
by members of Classes '56, '66,'71,'81 and '91.
A Thanksgiving Mass is set at 8 p.m. to be followed
by another motorcade, a general assembly and giving of door prizes.
The Kahoneros of Sagay City band will perform at the coronation
of Miss F. Alumni 2006.
The alumni association officers are Bethoven Fuentesfina
(president) with Nelly Tejada-Pagette as vice president and Nerio
Morales, as secretary; Virgie Yee - treasurer, Percival Salado -
auditor, Jessie Tinagson and Jose Maria Taleon - business managers,
Myrna Lungay - PIO and Nestor Oplas - immediate past president.
Eleusipa Panadero is the adviser.

Alicia Aureta and Marilyn Sajo are appealing to FI alumni to join

pastoral council inducts officers
The Holy Family Parish Pastoral Council in Barangay
Handumanan, Bacolod City, held the induction of its officers during
a mass officiated by Fr. Romeo Empestan, a press release from the
council said.
Elected were Bonifacio Ea - president, Dan Bolido
- vice president, May Pavilario -secretary, committee chairpersons
Yvonne Aya-ay, Desiree Singson, Patrocenio Segodine, Andy Junio,
Melinda Defacto, Jane Salvio and Donato Fines, and district leaders
Sandra Espaņola, Erlinda Villamento, Esteban Pillo, Willy Ballaran,
Flor Ampusta, Isaac Tipsay, Melinda Resonable, Merriam Bebanco and
Normal Saligumba. The parish presently has 42 Basic Ecclesial Communities
with 402 Kapilyan, Alagad, Manunudlo kag Pamatan-on officers, the

Raffle draw winners named
The Bacolod City Cooperative Development Council
held a raffle draw in line with its developmental activities on
the theme "Cooperative in Keeping with the Challenge of the Time,"
at the BAYS Center, in Bacolod City, recently, a press release from
the cooperative said.
Winners were: first prize of P20,000 - Doctors
Hospital Staff and Employees Cooperative in Bacolod; 2nd prize (15,000)
- Lorna Gido (Bacolod); and 3rd prize (P10,000) - Reggie Salveron
(RMC Coop).
The 10 consolation prizes of P500 each were won by
Gina Lopez - Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod; Mae Buaron - DTI Bacolod; BAHMCO;
Esperanza Lirazan - DPWH Kabankalan City; BACGEM; LASBETCCO; BAHMCO;

BCC ink MOA
on computer literacy
A memorandum of agreement was signed Monday between
the Bacolod City Police Office and the Bacolod Christian Center
for police personnel to avail of a 16-hour computer literacy program
being offered by the school.
The agreement was signed by Bacolod police director
Senior Supt. Pedro Merced and BCC executive director Rev. Sergio
Rojo Jr.
Rojo said the activity is an outreach program
of the BCC to the community, especially to the police. He said that,
about 30 pastors from Negros Occidental also availed of the program
three months ago.
The computer literacy program, which is being
offered by the BCC for free, includes a 4-hour session every Saturday
at the computer laboratory of the school and will start Feb. 25,
Rojo said.
Initially, about 20 police personnel will be
able to avail of the program, he said.
Rojo assumed the post as BCC executive director Thursday
