Crucial tiffs in TKP

A crucial double-header is set today as teams jockey for the top positions in the final two weeks of the of the Tan Kek Pin Cup Memorial Basketball Tournament elimination round at the Po Hang Gym in Bacolod City.

Bracket A leader Talisay Basketball Athletic Club, which sports a 4-0 card, stakes its unbeaten record against Summit-AMG Pawnshop (3-2) at 6:30 p.m. today, before Group B rivals BBC (3-1) and Probac (4-1) collide in the second game.

Both BBC (3-1) and Probac (4-1) are coming off impressive wins with Probac smearing undefeated Magnolia's unblemished record with an 87-81 victory Wednesday night.

On Sunday, winless teams Davies-Republic Hardware and Rentas Knights test each other's mettle, before Buddy's (2-3) battles Tangub (3-2) with the winner getting the inside track in the quarterfinals.

Krua Thai/Ice Monsters (4-2) hopes to bounce back from a loss when it battles LXG (1-4) in the main game. *CPT
