A series of live interactive forum on family, life
and sex with Dr. Margarita Holmes will be conducted by the Psychology
Department and the Psychological Society of the University of St.
La Salle, Feb. 20-22, at the USLS Gallaga Theater in Bacolod City,
a press release from organizers said yesterday.
The event is the highlight of the Psychology
Month celebration of USLS on the theme "Appreciating Life through
the World of Psychology."
At 5 p.m., on Feb. 20, the forum will be on "Uncensored:
Love, Sex and then some …" for professionals and parents; Feb. 21,
4 p.m. - "Beyond Lecture: Life, Sex and Hot Picks" for teachers;
and on Feb. 22, 5 p.m - "Spiced up: Family, Love and Sex" for students,
the press release said.
Fee for professionals and parents is P500, teachers
- P300, and for students - P200. Proceeds of the event will be used
for the community projects of the Psychology department.

The officers of the Philippine Medical Women's Association,
Negros Occidental Chapter will be inducted at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20
at L'Fisher Hotel, in Bacolod City, a press release from the group
said yesterday.
Guest of honor and inducting officer will be
Dr. Angeline Punzalan, PMWA national president.
The officers are Drs. Ma. Cristina Eusebio - president,
Myra Rhodora Hurboda - vice president, Josephine Tan - secretary,

A scientific meeting on "Incremental Decrease
in End-Points through Aggressive Lipid-lowering," conducted by Dr.
Ana Marie Nanette Arriola, will follow the induction rites, the

gov't participates
in travel, lifestyle exposition
The Negros Occidental government, through its Tourism
Center, participated in the 2nd International Visayas-Mindanao Travel,
Tours, Leisure and Lifestyle Exposition that started yesterday and
will end tomorrow, at the SM City Cebu Trade Hall, in Cebu City,
a Capitol press release said yesterday.
About 300 exhibitors including those from Guam,
Singapore, Hongkong, Malaysia and Thailand joined the travel.
Present at the opening program were Department
of Tourism Region 7 director Patria Aurora, and the tourism directors
of Caraga and Region 10, it said.
The participation of Negros Occidental is in
line with the seven-point development agenda of Gov. Joseph Marañon
and to promote the new advertising strategy called "Adventure Negros,"
the press release added.*
