Businessman
denies link to slay of 2

Businessman Bob Jalandoni yesterday debunked allegations that he has something to do with the recent killing of two farmers linked to the so-called "Canlaon Warriors" group in Brgy. Masulog, Canlaon City, Oriental Negros.

Victims Marlon Villahermosa and Renato Puerta died on Feb. 11, when they were fired at by seven unidentified persons armed with high-powered assault rifles and handguns, the police said.

Jalandoni, president of the Guardians Brotherhood Inc., said he was in Iloilo when the shooting took place.

Four other members of GBI were also killed in previous years, Jalandoni said.

He also claimed that Villahermosa was an original member of the Canlaon Warriors when he joined the GBI.

Jalandoni also dismissed as "baseless" allegations that he was the one who provided firearms to the killers of Vallehermoso. "I have no record of being a warlord or having high-powered firearms in my possession," he added.*GPB
