Zubiri Wedding 2
Instead, the guests were composed of the Philippine's top party
personas that filled up the ballroom and the whole lobby of the
cool and comfortable Taal Vista Hotel. The efficient and hard-working
general manager Alex Groizard took care of my accommodations and
those of National Palangga Maurice Arcache, so we were able to enjoy
to the fullest the sumptuous reception cocktails and dinner prepared
by Via Mare highlighted by dripping hot Raclette cheese stations
feeding the dancingest guests till the wee hours of the morning.
Three bands played hot, non-stop dance music headed by popular
Johnny Velasquez and Spirit of '67. The endless flow of drinks,
canapés and hot onion soup gave energy to the dancingest wedding
reception I have attended in years. Starting at 9 p.m., by 1 a.m.,
my shirt was dripping wet that I had to rush through the fog to
get into my room to change into a new one. When we woke up the next
day for brunch,
I felt I had lost enough weight to indulge on the glorious buffet
that Taal Vista Lodge is famous for. With Fuego Hotels & Properties
Management Corp's top honcho, charming and debonair Alfredo Rocha
pointing out the best cuts and choices of the endless spread, we
headed back to the dust and grime of Imperial Manille in the limo
of bon vivant Bong Daza, ecstatic over the spectacular Zubiri wedding.
Just want to end this piece by saying I LUV the hyper modern design
rainbow-lit corridors of the Taal Vista Hotel-reminds me of the
new Barajas airport in Madrid!!
