Red hearts and flowers day

Today is the most romantic day of the year with both young and old celebrating Valentine's Day in their own way. Everywhere one sees red, especially the traditional red roses in the flower stalls at the Bacolod plaza, and other flower shops. Hotels, restos, sing-along bars, the Manokan country are fully-booked, and even the Capitol Lagoon will be quite crowded tonight.

Enjoy!

Almost everyone came in red to the Chinese celebration dinner at Imelda's Cuisine hosted by Imelda's children. Buffet tables carried a variety of Chinese food, mostly prepared from the recipes of Reggie Aspiras whose cooking classes Imelda attends. Chinese desserts from Manila were also brought in. Imelda's hubby Quining Gonzalez came late and hopped from table to table to greet everybody.

Anita Cuaycong Piccio, wife of the late Ernesto Piccio, celebrated her 92nd birthday with children Cecile, Terry and Boy Piccio, and her granddaughter. She's the only living sibling of the Meliton and Magdalena Gonzaga-Cuaycong clan.*

Remember: "Thank God for being your safety flashlight…Always charged, ready to shine."
