Jaycees to conduct 15-day
entrepreneurship training

A 15-day leadership and entrepreneurship training program for elementary and high school students will be conducted in summer by the Junior Chamber International, through its Project Community Activities Reaching to Everyone through Services program, in Bacolod City, a press release from the Camia Jaycees said yesterday.

Training for the elementary participants will be held at the Montessori Learning Center, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., and for the high school level at the University of St. La Salle-Integrated School, 9 a.m. to noon, both from Mondays through Fridays.

Each batch will be limited to 35 participants who will be accepted on a first come-first served basis. The first batch will train from April 17 to May 5, and the second batch, May 15 to June 2.

Participants will undergo teambuilding activities, self-development workshops, do worksheets and assignments, learn and apply packaging and marketing techniques, and finish hands-on projects.

The registration fee of P2,500 will include training bag and manual, ID, assignment sheets and worksheets, the press release added.

Requirements for registration are 1x1 photo, 2x2 photo, photocopy of school card and birth certificate.

Valentine week activities start

The School for Creative Beginners in Bacolod City will hold various activities for the children and their parents as its Valentine's Week celebration, that started yesterday, a Capitol press release said.

The Arts and Craft portion conducted by the Handmade Gallery with Mary Ann Colmenares as resource person.

Pre-nursery and nursery pupils who belong to the Gummi and Teddy Bears levels, and their parents, had an educational get-together, the press release said.

The press release also said that another activity is sketching and drawing activities for Kinder pupils with Jerry Hechanova as the resource person. Preparatory pupils under the Brown Bears level will undergo sketching and drawing with Holtz Javier, while Pre-Kinder pupils will do pottery and face painting Friday with Jojo de Nora, the press release added.*
