DOLE sugar
bids rejected

Bids for sugar held by the Department of Labor and Employment for the sugar farmers of the Binalbagan-Isabela Sugar Company were rejected yesterday because they were too low.

Bidding for "A" or world market sugar was P1,171.09 and for "B" or domestic sugar P1,202,09, Enrique Montilla, Binalbagan-Isabela Planters Association president, said.

Last week DOLE sold its "B" sugar at P1,355 per Lkg and "A" at P1,206 per Lkg.
The bidding prices for DOLE sugar on Wednesdays usually set the trend for bidding in the rest of the sugar areas on Thursdays.*CPG
