A price monitoring survey conducted by the Bacolod
City government showed that only prices of sugar and fish have
increased at the South Libertad Public Market.
Price Monitoring Team coordinator Ernie Pineda
said prices of refined sugar increased from P28.50 (as of Dec.
23, 2005) to P40 per kilo, and brown sugar from P21 to P30 per
kilo based on an actual price monitoring survey held Jan. 1 to
2, 2006.
However, Pineda said the prices of chicken is expected
to go down this month because of the decrease in the demand.
