Hydrocephalic
baby needs help

A hydrocephalic 1-month-old baby from Cash & Carry, Brgy. 17, Bacolod City, is in need of a shunt but her parents are financially hard up and are asking for help from DAILY STAR readers.

Kyle Ramirez has been diagnosed to have congenital hydrocephalus and her doctor recommended that the baby should undergo immediate treatment. Kyle's father, 24-year-old Editho Ramirez works as a barber while her mother, Jornalyn, 19, is unemployed. The couple has another child, 2-year-old David. Editho said his income is not enough to spend for the baby's medical needs.

Medical records reveal that Jornalyn has undergone regular pre-natal check-ups and gave birth to Kyle on Jan. 11. Days later, however, the baby was checked and admitted in the hospital because her head circumference was growing.

Editho said he will be thankful for whatever help they receive so they could bring the baby to the hospital for further medication. Any help for the child may be coursed through the DAILY STAR office.*GCT
