in Dinagyang darts event

Negrenses Rommel Bagotayao and Melvin Adeva booked a 1-2 finish in the open singles competitions of the Dinagyang Open 2006 Darts Invitational Tournament at the Spotter's Bar and Recreation Center in Iloilo City recently.

Bagotayao, who hails from Silay City, prevailed over Adeva of Bacolod City in the finals to snatch the singles' crown, but Adeva also got a championship in open doubles blind draw division together with Ilonggo Alaric Peņaranda.

The Adeva-Peņaranda tandem beat Iloilo darters Roger Arellano and Noy Garingalao in the championship match to take the crown in the doubles division.

Bagotayao and Adeva, who represented the Association of Negros Darters and Darts Club, were the only Negrenses that saw action in the tournament.
