The Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod set the final deadline for all offers for a new city hall site for Bacolod City on February 13, in an omnibus resolution it passed yesterday.

The SP also set the conduct of a public hearing on the offers for a new government center on Feb. 17. Bacolod Councilor Lyndon Caña, is the proponent of the resolution. The SP members agreed to hold the public hearing at 1:30 p.m. at the Liga ng mga Barangay Hall at San Juan Street, Bacolod City.

The proposed dates were moved upon the request of Councilors Dindo Ramos, Al Victor Espino and other members of the SP, who suggested that the deadline and the public hearing be held earlier.

The City Hall Committee, chaired by City Administrator Lorendo Dilag, submitted to the SP yesterday its evaluation of the first eight proposals offered or considered probable sites for a new city hall. The committee has received about 15 proposals, aside from the other offers submitted to the SP.*CGS
