CNSA shooters triumph

Central Negros Shooters Association members Pablo Nava and Bebot Verano shared the limelight as they topped their respective divisions in the 1st Freedom Invitational Shootfest at the Sta. Fe Resort Shooting Range in Barangay Granada, Bacolod City recently.

Nava defeated Wendell Jose Rivera of the Dumaguete Shooters Association to bag the open division title, while Verano posted a win against compatriot Jason Tan for the standard category crown.

CNSA shooters Emiliano Decendario, Jerry Las and Peregin Vasquez placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the standard division.

Cris Palo of CNSA ruled the modified category, while compatriot Adonis Rosales grabbed the championship of the production division after emerging triumphant against teammate Dannie Samortin in the finals. Bryan Ta-ala, Jun Palo and Patrick Villanueva --- all of CNSA --- finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the production category.

CNSA's Noel Udani was the single stack titlist, beating Limuel Benetua of the Philippine National Police-Silay in the finals. Placing third, fourth and fifth, respectively, were CNSA members Jorge Araneta, Harry Menghnani and Erwin Alisaje.

Toots Tanpinco of CNSA topped the senior standard hostilities as Jay Taniegra of Himamaylan City claimed the lawman standard crown. PNP-Silay shooters Mina Virgo and Hector Balbon settled for first and second runner-up finishes in the lawman standard category.

Marcial Cuamag of the Bacolod City Police Office won the lawman production title after posting a victory over Julius Ceasar of PNP-Silay in the championship match, while Jim Kenneth Uy of CNSA was the junior titlist.

Jeck Manzano of Candoni took the tyro championship as Demi John Honrado of La Carlota City and CNSA's Niel Angelo Cruz finished second and third, respectively. Onny Gregorio of CNSA snared the R.O. title.

CNSA hosted the tournament that was bankrolled by Cemex Palitada King, Excel Premium Portland and Shakey's-Robinsons Place. *CIT
