'Oplan Disiplina' eyed to
implement ordinances

The Oriental Negros Philippine National Police will launch a campaign called "Oplan Disiplina" soon to enforce moribund ordinances in the towns and cities of the province.

PNP provincial director, Sr. Supt. Melvin Ramon Buenafe, revealed the plan after he observed that many local ordinances have not been strictly enforced in many parts of the province, including the curfew and sale of liquor to minors.

He said the drive aims to help the local government units protect their communities and maintain peace and order. He also said he believes that the strict enforcement of the ordinances, particularly those on security, will strengthen peace and order in the localities, and prevent the young people from bad influences and the use of illegal drugs.*RG
