'New businesses make
economy more vibrant'

Dumaguete City Mayor Agustin Perdices said Tuesday that the new business hubs sprouting in the city has given employment opportunities for Negrenses, aside from revenues for the city.

Perdices, who was at the inauguration and blessing of the new RM building at corner Rovira Road and North national highway, also said that he is happy that new investments coming to the city are making local economy more vibrant.

Other businesses also expected to come in this year are the Robinsons group that has acquired a 6-hectare lot from the property of Julio Sy in Calindagan, Dumaguete City.

Perdices said the coming in of big malls will not kill the small businesses because competition is always for the benefit of the consumers.*JG
