Low water pressure to no water supply will be experienced
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today in barangays Handumanan and Sum-ag,
Gardenville and Greenplains subdivisions, in Bacolod City due to
repair works of the leakage in Brgy. Handumanan.
Residents of affected areas are advised to take
necessary measures to avoid inconvenience, a press release from
the Bacolod City Water District said yesterday.*

15-year-old
needs 2-D-echo;
2 other patients seeking help
+A 15-year-old resident of Hda. Ofelia Lacson,
Talisay City, Negros Occidental who is now confined at the Corazon
Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City is
in need of a 2-D-echocardiogram while two other patients are also
seeking the help of DAILY STAR readers for their follow-up medication.
The parents of Mary Ann Albao, 15, said she was
brought to the CLMMRH on Dec. 12 because of difficulty in breathing.
Beverly Albao said she and her husband Efraim are jobless.
Beverly said her daughter's physician advised
them to have her undergo the 2-D-echo in Manila in September yet,
but they do not have money for the operation. The Albaos have seven
children.
Medical records revealed that Mary Ann suffered
episodes of peripheral cyanosis associated with undocumented low
to moderate grade fever.
At 11 years old, she was also diagnosed to have
rheumatic heart disease. Beverly said they have received help from
the office of Rep. Jose Carlos Lacson (3rd district, Neg.Occ.) and
Talisay Mayor Eric Saratan.
Meanwhile, the parents of stroke victim Junnil
Coseba, 11, of Brgy. Tabugon, Kabankalan City, said the boy needs
to undergo cerebral angiography but they are cash-strapped.
Nine-year-old James Huerva of San Esteban Village,
Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City who has been diagnosed to have acute
promyelocytic leukemia, needs to undergo chemotherapy treatment.
Medical records indicate that Huerva was confined
at Doctor's Hospital in Bacolod City and was found to have very
low hemoglobin and blood platelets.
Any help for Mary Ann, Junnil and James may be coursed
