Several employees of TeleTech distributed gifts to
50 orphans at the Sisters of Charity at Robinsons Metro, in Bacolod
City recently, a press release from the group said.
Through their eight-weeks fund-raising campaign
called "Dressed-down Mondays," the employees raised enough to buy
gifts and lunch for the children.
The funds were raised every Monday when employees
were allowed to wear jeans and T-shirts at work provided they pay
P10 before entering the call center, the press release said.
Christmas balls that hung from the Christmas trees
in the call center had names of the orphans and employees were encouraged
to take one ball and adopt and buy a gift for that child on Christmas.*
