P10M renovation of military
camp endorsed by RDC

The Regional Development Council has endorsed the proposed P10M project for the improvement of Camp Leon Kilat in Tanjay City to the Department of National Defense during its RDC council meeting in Dumaguete City recently.

Camp Leon Kilat is a military camp located in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Viejo, Tanjay City.

The proposed project will entail a cost of P10 million, from the DND.

Bayawan promoting
Biofuels Act, mayor says

The Bayawan City government is one of the local government units that has responded to the President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's call for the promotion of alternative and renewable energy resources, its Mayor, German Saraņa, said.

Saraņa announced his intention to put up biofuel equipment following the wave of oil price increases that hit the country early this year.

He said that the city government's vehicle, which previously ran on diesel, has been converted to 50 percent biodiesel. .

New housing project
to open in Sibulan

The Estanzia South Housing Project, will be launched and blessed February 2, 2007 in Brgy. Maslog, Sibulan, Oriental Negros.

Aleli Villacorte, project manager, said the land development and selling of the house and lot units are now ongoing.

Villacorte said 419 units will be constructed, and potential homeowners can choose from two models, the Rowhouse Core Type (lot area of 50 sq.m., floor area 32.4 sq.m.) and the Single Attached Complete Type (lot area 70 sq.m., floor area 32.4 sq.m.).
