Two celebrations

The 1st Foundation Day Celebration of Dunganon Bank Inc. was celebrated at the jampacked BAY Center in Bacolod City recently, with Mayor Bing Leonardia as the guest of honor. The whole day affair was attended by guest members from Don Salvador and Murcia towns; and clients from Handumanan, Mansilingan, Vista Allegre, Taculing, Eroreco, Fortune Town, Abkasa, Central Market, Magsungay, and Bacolod Kasanag. The morning ceremony, consisted of the pledge of members and staff, presentation of bank staff and officers, and the awarding of the outstanding center chiefs, members, groups and the best center house and center. The center performer and micro-entrepreneur were also given gifts, certificates and cash prizes.

Then it was off to Dunganon Bank for a quick delicious lunch and back to the BAY Center for the production contest of Jumbo Nay, with all the participants, believe me, were all "Jumbo", and "game na game".

Eight candidates vied for the Queen Jumbo Ka Na title. It was one of the best contests, and very hilarious at that. The judges, Leila Sales, Betzy Gazo and I, had a hard time deciding.

The awardees were: Best in Fantasy - Sonia de la Torre; Best in Talent - Rowena Gomez; Best in Long Gown - Florabel Trompa. First runner up was Sonia de la Torre, 2nd runner up, Florabel Trompa; and Rowena Rebote was voted Ms. Jumbo Ka Nay.

A raffle draw was also held for every member to close the celebration.

Elca Bodiola, daughter of Noel and Angelica Bodiola celebrated her birthday at Lopue's East Play Center recently. She is four years old.

Her classmates from Happy Tots and cousins joined her. For give-aways, Cinderella bags full of goodies were handed out.

That evening, another celebration was held at the residence of Tita Jessie Vasquez, this time for the grown-ups.*

Remember:

"God sends miracles everyday. We just have to train our eyes to be aware of them!"
