Defending champion West Negros College and University of St. La Salle beat separate rivals yesterday in the first leg of the Under-19 semifinals of the NOFA Provincial Championships at the Paglaum Sports Complex football field in Bacolod City.

The WNC booters, coached by former RP striker Norman Fegidero, enjoyed a walkover victory that resulted to a 3-0 win against Cadiz City Football Club, while the La Sallians crushed University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, 3-0, in the other semis clash. Cadiz and UNO-R still have a chance to earn finals berths if they will finish with four-goal advantages each when they tackle the same opponents in the second leg of the home-and-way semifinal matches on Saturday.
