Mayor's SOCA Thursday
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia will deliver his State of the City Address on Thursday at the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod session hall at 3 p.m.

The Mayor's address will be covered live by Skycable Channel 2. Secretary to the Mayor Roger Balo yesterday said the Mayor's address will focus on the achievements of the Leonardia administration - what has been achieved based on the Mayor's last SOCA. He said the Mayor will also include their concerns and future plans for the city in his report.

Balo said the address will highlight the administration's three -point agenda - to rebuild the administrative machinery, rebuild the foundation of economic development, and rebuild the delivery of services - in consonance with the 10-point agenda of the national government.

Meanwhile, City Administrator Lorendo Dilag said the manager of the National Food Authority in Negros Occidental met with him yesterday to discuss the memorandum of agreement that will allow the city to avail of rice loans in times of calamities such as typhoon, flood or fire.

Dilag said that based on the MOA between the city and NFA, the city can withdraw up to 2,000 sacks of rice. He said the MOA will be referred to the City Legal Office for refinement and if it is pursued, Bacolod will be assured that, in cases of calamity, it will have 2,000 sacks of rice at a given instance.*CGS
