Three dozen years later …

The 36th wedding anniversary of architect Prospero Ramos Leonardia and the former Nena Delfin celebrated recently at the Grand Ballroom of Business Inn, Bacolod City was one of the most precious moments to remember for their relatives and friends.

Msgr. Delfin Delfin officiates at the rites. At the entrance of the lobby, the pictures of Pros and Nena taken during their wedding day were displayed. The same pictures were transferred later on to the center stage for the guests to exclaim over.

Everybody agreed that all the members of the original wedding party, most of whom are present, looked trimmer then. The secondary sponsors, who were Pro's classmates in high school and college, were all there, too.

Almost all the guests were dressed to the nines, with the gentlemen in their barongs, and coat and tie, the ladies in glittery gowns. Of the couple's two daughters, however, only the elder, Peachy, now married to Gino Tadiar and with a daughter, Annika, was present. Second daughter, Gretchen now Mrs. Pio Dumatol who is based in Irvine, California, with their son Matthiew and daughter Maia, could not make it. Peachy, who married Gino here three years ago at Msgr. GG Gaston's Chapel of the Cartwheels, is now vice president for Marketing of Citibank, New York.

During the program, Baby Annika Tadiar, one year and a half, stole the show by clapping her hands and stamping her foot to the music, oblivious of the guests.

Dozens of relatives and friends from the U.S.A., Manila, Iloilo, and Capiz, home province of Nena, attended the affair.

Bacolod's leading couturier during his time, Joe Leonardia, who incidentally designed her beautiful wedding gown, 36 years ago, obliged the gathering by rendering his signature songs, "La Vie en Rose" and Broadway favorite "I Enjoy Being a Girl", that had everybody clamoring "more".

Brothers Dan and Andy Leonardia gave sweet, inspirational messages. With the Mari Teves Band and later Bagguer Villaluz providing the music, everybody danced, danced and danced up to the morning.

To Pros and Nena, may both of you continue to have good health and prosperity!

Remember:

"We should give God the same place in our hearts that He holds in the universe."*
