Cadiz, San Carlos XIs
topple division 2 foes

Cadiz City Football Club and Sagay City FC scored victories against different opponents Saturday in division 2 of the 2006 NOFA Men's Under-19 Provincial Championships at the University of St. La Salle football field in Bacolod City.

The Cadiznons barged into the win column after blanking Kabankalan City FC, 2-0, while the Sagay booters demolished Negros Occidental High School, 4-0, for its first victory.

Cadiz and Sagay posted a 1-1 draw last week. With the loss, Kabankalan dropped to 1-1 after registering an impressive 5-0 triumph in its opening game against an NOHS team that absorbed its second straight loss.

In the other encounters Saturday, Celta de Victorias beat Handumanan United FC, 5-1, while USLS-Integrated School was held to a 1-1 draw by Pontevedra FC.

Victorias, represented by players from Don Bosco High School, bounced back from a heartbreaking 4-5 setback it suffered against Pontevedra last week, while the USLS-IS booters were coming off a 4-3 victory over Handumanan.

The best team in division 2 after the eliminations will advance to the semifinals where it will battle the top seed in division 1. *CIT
