10 Coke salesmen bring
grievance before NCMB

Some organized labor groups are planning to declare a national boycott of products of the Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., if the present labor dispute involving 10 suspended Bacolod Coca-Cola salesmen is not resolved by tomorrow.

The salesmen, who are members of Congress of Independent Orgnizations-Alliance of Labor Unions, have filed with the National Conciliation and Mediation Board in Bacolod City a Notice of Strike for mediation or conciliation, will hear the case tomorrow. A Bacolod executive of Coca-Cola yesterday said, however, they could not comment on the issue until they get a clearance from higher management.

COA turns over
e-NGAS to San Carlos

The Commission on Audit recently conducted an exit conference and turnover ceremony on the installation of an Electronic New Government Accounting System at San Carlos City, a press release from COA said.

The program, which started on May 23, was conducted through the Government Accountancy and Financial Management Information System. The software was installed at the City Accounting and Information and Communication Technology offices, it said.

The e-NGAS is an accounting software developed by the COA to ensure correctness, reliability, completeness and timeliness in recording government financial transactions and to generate financial reports in accordance with the policies and procedures of the New Government Accounting System, the press release said.

TFM to ROD:
Restore CLOA now

The Task Force Mapalad said in a press statement yesterday that they are demanding that the Register of Deeds in Bacolod City immediately restore their certificate of land ownership awards it cancelled in 2002.

Gregorio Paclibar, president of Hacienda Velez-Malaga Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organization, who held a protest rally at the ROD office at the Bacolod Hall of Justice yesterday, claimed that Registrar of Deeds Milagros Moya refused to restore the CLOA despite an order issued June 29 by the La Carlota City Regional Trial Court Branch 63.

Moya could not be reached for comment as of press time yesterday.
