Silver wedding, birthday

Alex "Jacksi" and Helen Grace Go recently celebrated their silver wedding anniversary, with their five children, Mark, Gretchen, Andrew, Adrian and Charles at the Gardenville Chapel in Tangub, Bacolod City.

The solemn renewal of vows was officiated by Msgr. Eduardo Gumboc, the same priest who married them 25 years ago at the Antonio Abad Parish Church. The children participated in the ceremony. Later they went off to the couple's residence for a simple reception.

The food was prepared by their only daughter, Gretchen, who at the age of 21 manages a cake and pastries house, and who made a three-layered wedding fondant carrot cake for the event. Among their well wishers were Grace's classmates from the school of nursing; relatives, and Jacksi's business associates.

Youngest son Charles entertained the guests with a song and dance number.

Three cheers for the happy couple, who are stronger than ever!

As a belated birthday celebration, entrepreneur Richard Yanson and his wife Love, treated their siblings and in-laws to an all-expense paid trip to Bangkok.

There, the group enjoyed sight-seeing and weekend markets, visited jewelry factories and Pyramid cemeteries, and shopped at the Tokyo-Tokyo Shopping center.

They also enjoyed the best of Bangkok delicacies and fruits. It was indeed a bonding experience for the family.

Remember:

"When saving for old age, be sure to put away a few pleasant memories."*
