wounded in strafing

The Department of Land Reform in Negros Occidental is conducting three-month legal clinics as part of its People's Day program, a DLR press release said.

The activity is in compliance with the memoranda of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Land Reform Secretary Nasser Pangandaman on the conduct of summer work program and holding of the People's Day, it also said. People's Day activities are aimed at interacting with farmers, agrarian reform beneficiaries, landowners and the public to bring their issues and concerns on the implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, the press release said.

The clinics will be conducted at the DLR-Cadiz City on May 26; Talisay City - June 2; Bago City - May 5 and June 9; Binalbagan - May 12, June 16; Kabankalan City - May 19, June 23; and provincial office at Dawis-San Sebastian, Bacolod City, on June 30, the press release said.

Inquiries about the legal clinics may be made by calling 433-8130 or 433-8123, the press release added.*
