Teenager found dead,
companion 'hangs self'
BY DONALYN GUERRERO

A 16-year-old girl was found dead inside a Bacolod pension house, while her 37-year-old companion hung himself in Silay City yesterday, the police said last night.

The mouth of Remalyn Honey Javier of Brgy. Barra, Silay City, was foaming when she was found in a room at Tindalo Pension House in Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City, at noon yesterday, the police said.

Room boy Romeo Espaņola found Javier's body at Room 206 of the pension house when he went in to change the beddings, PO3 Rovir Montaņez of Police Precinct 4 told the DAILY STAR.

Montaņez said Javier's alleged companion who was later identified as Marlo Miango Dosayla hung himself at his residence at Bonifacio Extension, Silay City, and his body was brought to the Lasting Peace Memorial Homes in Silay City at about 8 a.m. yesterday.

Eyewitnesses claimed they saw Dosayla and Javier at a sing-along bar in Silay City at about 2:30 a.m. yesterday, Montaņez said. They were last seen riding a motorcycle heading towards Bacolod City, he added.

A picture of the couple was found in Dosayla's wallet and they were positively identified by the pension house security guard who was on duty when they checked in at about 3:56 a.m. yesterday, Montaņez said.

Montaņez said Dosayla who paid P200 to duty desk Cheryl Naro, is believed to have registered at the pension house under the name "Roy Mijares" of Talisay City.

Javier and Dosayla were supposed to leave the room at noon yesterday, he added.

Based on the circumstantial evidence gathered by the police, the case is almost solved, but further investigation will be conducted, Montaņez said.

Senior Insp. Ulysses Ortiz, Precinct 4 commander, said Javier was lying on her back clad in a blue sleeveless blouse and maong pants when her body was found.

The police recovered Javier's belongings, including an identification card, an improvised tooter, P50 in cash, blue slippers, a bottle of mineral water and cosmetics, Ortiz said.

No injuries or hematoma were visible on her body, he said.

Ortiz said they are still determining whether her death was caused by foul play.

Javier's body is now at the Alisbo Funeral Homes and is set for an autopsy, he added.*DMG
