A dinner on the theme "Investing for Prosperity in the Year of the Dog" was held by the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company, at L'Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City, recently, with Philam Life top brass Jose Cuisia Jr. and Melvin Esteban as guest speakers. Cuisia, who is president and chief executive officer, and who also holds top positions with various companies, said working for Philam has given him satisfaction, as they are able to help many individuals, including about 100 families presently living at houses built in joint coordination with Gawad Kalinga.

Cecile Lizares is the vice president and director of agencies for Philam Life-Visayas.

A get-together party and fund-raising campaign for their various charity projects was recently held by the International Friendship Club, a family-oriented group of foreign nationals married to Negrenses, at Group K in Bacolod.

The group had sponsored a clean and green project in Barangay Singcang-Airport. Its officers are John Bertrand, Gloria Ortaliz Fisher, Monique Uhlman, Babes Sola, Cecil Smith, Kees Kohlman, Larry Munoz, Solomon Lobrido and Enzo Tulliani.

The group plans to meet every last Saturday of the month starting April 29, at Group K.

Customers and guests gathered for a "share-a-brew" event by CitiBank Savings recently, where participants enjoyed fine coffee and pastries in the bank.

Branch head Jinno Garcia, son of Negrense Rotarians Chuck and Ochee Garcia, said the gathering was their way of introducing their services to Bacolod.*
